Which color scheme is best?
This is a great puzzle for preschool and kindergarten. Lower case letters appear on the chunky pieces, corresponding upper case letters are imprinted on the tray. Counting dots are imprinted on the tray under each of the digits. The colored stripes give youngsters a clue to which row the letter belongs. Teaches the sequence of the alphabet in both upper and lower case. Tiles may be used to form simple words outside the tray.
This puzzle is a must for kids preparing for kindergarten. Popular with schools and libraries, too.
The letters flow naturally - not split up into giraffe legs etc. as on some puzzles.
Digits one through nine are printed on the brown edge of the turtle shell - underneath you'll find counting dots to correspond to each digit.

I purchased the ABC Turtle and three custom name puzzles for the little kids in my life. Every gift was received with wonder and so much joy. The kids LOVED seeing their names in bright colors and play around with the letters. I loved that the Puzzle People included the letter outlines for the kids to practice tracing, etc. I could not reccomend these gifts enough!
I first purchased this puzzle in 1978 for my children. Recently pulled it out again for my grandchildren who love it just as much as they did. The combination of upper and lowercase reinforces the alphabet in a cute way. Add a turtlehead and the numbers for additional learning and it provides a useful learning tool. Nice to see this classic is still available and all the other options this company provides.
Nice size & delivered when promised!
Very happy with the looks and condition of the puzzle. Have to wait till recipient gets the puzzle to see how much he enjoys it.
Future B’day gift….
